A Digital Win at Manchester's Inaugural Northern Dev Awards

Last month we were delighted to learn that we'd been shortlisted in 3 categories for the inaugural Northern Dev Awards. The awards celebrate excellence in website development across the North and the shortlisting comes hot on the heels of a win at last year's Northern eCommerce Awards, in which we took home the award for the Best Food and Drink eCommerce website for Hawkshead Relish.

This week, A Digital won the award for the Best Deployment of a Content Management System (CMS) for our extensive work with Windermere Lake Cruises which has seen the introduction of a new online maintenance management system, display signage and website bookings integrated with their till system.

The website is driven by the content management system Craft CMS at its core, with several areas of the site that have been heavily customised to work with internal processes and other systems.

Speaking after the awards, founder of A Digital Andrew Armitage told us, “It’s fantastic to get industry recognition for our work. As companies become more reliant on digital technology and look to maximise efficiencies, websites have become increasingly complex. Being able to deliver reliable and robust functionality is critical to achieving success.”

Andrew continues, “What makes this award extra special is that it's the result of working with a locally based company that has achieved global recognition, who also do an awful lot of work to promote the area in which we live”.

The event was hosted by TV presenter Andy Crane, who, for those of a certain age will remember him for his appearance in the CBBC broom cupboard during the 1980's.

Other award categories in which we'd be shortlisted were for our recent work with James Cropper plc for the Best Site Migration, as well as Dev Agency of the Year (Small).

The award entries all reflect the growing number of projects that A Digital deliver where seamless integrations with different systems and online services are essential to support internal efficiencies as well as the overall customer experience.
